BRING ME DOWN
The Story Behind The Song

BRING ME DOWN
Not yet recorded

V1
Sick of hearing what I think is so very obvious
People saying what they think I want to hear
Constant griping about the state of fucking everything
Constant bitching in my fucking ear

Now tell me, don't you ever get tired
Sick of the sound of your own voice
So sick of hearing about your point of view
I think it's time you let me make my choice

Chorus
You bring me down, bring me down, bring me down (x4)

V2
I'm gonna knock you off your soapbox
Shut you up once and for all
You're such an opinionated bastard
I'm gonna be there to see you fall

So don't ever, ever get tired
From being right all of the time
Always moaning, always preaching
Always stepping out of line

Chorus
Break
Chorus

V3
In future I think that I would like it
If you would think before you speak
I'm not asking for a miracle
All I want is just a little peace

I'm gonna give you a final option
To keep your big mouth shut
Have a little consideration
Before I shut it with my foot

Chorus x2

LEE J: "I think before I even start this one, I have to give a nod to Ozzy. I was listening in the car to The Essential Ozzy, I can’t remember which song it was, but I bet you can figure it out….

Anyhow, I had this rhythm flapping around my head plus I was in a rather pissy mood. All of a sudden all these phrases started coming to me. Just being generally disgruntled with people telling you what they think is best, even though you know (and they probably do too) that they’re wrong. So, I got to work and started jotting all these ideas down (in work time no less!! – always the rebel). The guitar went through various changes on this but now I feel very happy with it….

This song isn’t recorded (as yet) so the only way to hear it in all its glory is to get your butt down to the show. Catch you there!"
